Managing change at a growing benefits provider
Holly Donato navigated the Midwest’s largest dental benefits provider, through a time of huge growth and change.
She managed the introduction of new benefit plans and disruptive payment models, launch of an Iowa subsidiary, and the move of corporate headquarters.
Inheriting a marketing program in its infancy, Holly spearheaded branding around the claim Defining Value in Oral Health Improvement. She then developed the plan’s first website, large-account sales kit, subscriber publications, and customer events. Working with Dental Director Dr. Larry Kuhl, she built thought leadership in the media.
Holly also provided counsel and customer service training during a legal challenge, dental network changes, and state scrutiny of Delta’s care for low-income communities. In short, her leadership at a dicey time enabled Delta Dental to continue its growth into a national leader in dental benefits.
